The Eastern Goldfields Historical Society Inc was formed in 1946, initially as a branch of the Royal Western Australian Historical Society, before becoming incorporated in 1979.
The Society operates out of the old Boulder Power Station in Hamilton Street, Boulder. See the 'Contact Us' section for our address, email and phone number.
We are open on Boulder Markets day which is on the 3rd Sunday of each month. There are demonstrations of dryblowing and panning off for gold by local prospector Linsday Stockdale. We also hold movie nights which are a lot of fun.
Other activities that the Society has to offer include:
Excursions to places of historic interest.
Heritage walks and tours of buildings.
Advice and training in historic research and preventative conservation.
Or you may like to help compiling photographic records.

We would love you to join our Society. It is very interesting and the members are keen to teach anyone who wishes to learn about our area and preserving our heritage.
Our Society is a non-profit organisation run solely by volunteers and we welcome any assistance in undertaking the rewarding tasks of preserving and promoting the rich history of the Eastern Goldfields.
Application for Membership form.
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every second month at the Society's home, from 7pm. Visitors are most welcome to attend and we would love to see you there.
